Blogertizeworld eyeing buyout of lootstreet.com
Mumbai: Blogertizworld, a low cost ad solution for bloggers, is in the final round of talks to select its online shopping portal partner in India. Blogertizeworld has confirmed that it is in negotiations with lootstreet.com, a Hyderabad based startup founded by Arun Balakrishnan and Kaushik Mukherjee (graduates from IIM Ahmadabad) for a possible buyout thereby entering the growing market of e-commerce in this region.
The company is expected to combine the concept of affiliate marketing with this one-to-one bargaining portal thereby providing a platform for bloggers to monetize their blogs by selling the company’s products. The bloggers are required to place a link to the Blogertizeworld shopping portal on their blogs and in return, the former can earn upto 75% of the profit on any successful convert. The company would have three sources of revenue (for its shopping portal avenue), which it plans to incorporate at a later stage – commission on final sales, revenue from banner advertisements and listing fee on products after the company has launched its retail services such as car rental, real estate listing etc.
Blogertizeworld has raised capital to run its business by selling pixel adspace on its site to bloggers worldwide. The proceeds would be utilized to take care of the operating expenses of the company. The website is looking for strategic alliances with various small and medium sized online businesses in India primarily to save its cost.
